Lampiris is a supplier of electricity and gas whose headquarters is located in Liège. Present throughout Belgium, it has recently gone into the French market. Lampiris aims to offer green, local and cheaper energy.
Appearing after the opening of the energy market to competition, Lampiris can boast to be the third provider of electricity and gas in Wallonia behind Engie Electrabel and EDF Luminus, and number two in Brussels. Set up by Bruno Venanzi and Bruno Vanderschueren in 2003, today the company has more than 800,000 customers.
Its investment in renewable energy and the implementation of several “energy advice” campaigns make Lampiris an ecology-oriented supplier. Besides, it has diversified its activity by offering a series of sustainable services.
On Tuesday, 14 June 2016, Lampiris officially announced it had reached an agreement with the company TOTAL in order to join the French oil group. In fact, the latter undertook to acquire 100% of the shares of the Liège company in order to expand its business of providing energy to private individuals in Europe. The operation was finalized at the end of September that same year.
Lampiris can be contacted by phone or e-mail and has two shops, one in Liège and one in Saint-Trond. These stores welcome any individual or customer wishing to get information on the products and services offered by the company.
Regarding payment preferences, Lampiris gives you the choice between direct debit, bank transfer and even Zoomit. Concerning the receipt of bills, although encouraging e-mail for ecological reasons, paper billing remains possible for Tip and TOP customers.
You can manage your contract easily through the “Mon Espace” (my space) platform where, for example, you can adjust the amount of your monthly instalments.
Lampiris offers two main deals, Tip, and TOP, that are usually associated with major promotions for new customers.
In detail, Lampiris Tip for electricity is a fixed rate while Lampiris Tip for gas is a variable rate. This formula is the company’s traditional deal. It is available for a period of one, two, or three years at the same rate and provides customers access to all services and benefits. Lampiris states that this product is recommended for small consumers (up to 3,200 kilowatt hours [kWh] of electricity and 9,500 kWh of gas).
For households with higher consumption, they should prefer Lampiris TOP for electricity or Lampiris TOP for gas. It offers a reduced kWh price. However, the annual fee is higher than for Tip and bills must be received by e-mail.
For your information, there is also the ‘Online’ deal that requires the receipt of invoices by e-mail and payment by direct debit. In addition, it is possible to combine electricity and gas within the same contract with Lampiris Tip, TOP or Online.
Lampiris has diversified beyond the conventional supply of electricity and gas. Today, you can receive a series of services related to the energy sector.
Lampiris has selected quality contractors to insulate your home. The company is at your disposal throughout the duration of the work and takes responsibility for the file concerning the application of energy premiums.
Lampiris is also now supplier of wood. It thus offers dry or semi-dry firewood, boxed or in bulk. Currently, all logs are cut to a length of 30-33 cm. As of 3 lorry spaces filled by your containers or pellets, delivery is free.
Along the same lines, Lampiris also offers its DIN+ certified Belgian pellets bagged or in bulk.
Update 16/08/2017: Lampiris announces on its internet site that it is to cease the direct sale of wood and pellets.
Lampiris has added a string to its bow and presents its boiler maintenance and breakdown assistance pack. This service, available both for gas and oil boilers, is provided by certified heating engineers. It offers customers the servicing of the installation based on certain specifications, and unlimited call-outs 24/7 in the event of breakdown. Aren’t you convinced by the breakdown service? Then you can opt for only maintenance.
Lampiris customers receive a discount of 20 euros.
Just for its customers, Lampiris applies a reduction on the price of the Nest thermostat. The use of this type of thermostat may offer the following benefits:
Lampiris has partnered with the Belgian company Burneco to create a 100% Belgian pellet boiler with a 5-year guarantee. Lampiris announces 92% yield compared with the bigger brands available. With the purchase of this boiler, you will receive the equivalent of 6 months of heating pellets free of charge.
If you live in Wallonia, Lampiris buys your green certificates at the minimum guaranteed price quicker than the CWaPE or Elia. Indeed, Lampiris agrees to do so within a maximum of 10 to 30 days.
